Adventure Acres is located on a farm near Dayton, Ohio.  As a family-owned and operated business, Adventure Acres has a number of activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.  Not only do they have a pumpkin patch filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, they have the biggest and best corn maze in all of Ohio and beyond.  You can spend a good part of your day in the maze since it has over eight total miles of walking trails.  That is in addition to the three miles of pumpkins they have.  You can go into the pumpkin patch and pick out your own pumpkins, or you can choose some that have already been picked.  The real fun is going out into the patch yourself, so you might as well take advantage of the opportunity.  If you wanted to just pick up a pumpkin and go, you could stop by your local grocery store for that.  To get the best pumpkins, you want to pay a visit to the Adventures Acres Pumpkin patch.

Once you arrive at the Adventure Acres pumpkin patch, you will see why they have the best pumpkins around.  The pumpkin patch is cultivated with great care and proper technique in order to grow the biggest and best pumpkins around.  But, the pumpkin patch is not the only aspect of Adventure Acres that has received great attention to detail.  The corn mazes here are the best around.  Not only do they provide visitors with a real challenge, but they have some of the most detailed and elaborate designs that you will ever see in a corn maze.  You can't truly appreciate the maze design until you see it from above, and you can do that if you make your way to the top of the watchtower for a bird's-eye view of the entire farm and its mazes.  After that, you can try making your way through the mazes from start to finish.  You will encounter puzzles to solve along the way, which can give you the opportunity to win some really great prizes.

In addition to the mazes and pumpkin patch, there are corn cannons.  That's right; cannons that shoot ears of corn up to 500 feet.  There are two cannons that visitors can use to see how far they can fire an ear of corn.  There is also a target they can aim for if they want to test their marksmanship.  The next activity is the hayride and, at night, the haunted hayride.  Guests will be taken around by tractor through the entire farm where they may see wild turkeys or deer that roam the grounds.  On nights when the moon is full, they might even see a ghost or two.  The hayride takes guests back to a clearing where people can roast hot dogs and marshmallows over a large bonfire.

Little kids can even find things to enjoy.  Some of the activities for younger ones include the petting zoo at the farm's famous barn.  There are all kinds of animals to see, pet and feed.  Kids will also have fun playing on the wooden pirate ship located on the playground.

Adventure Acres definitely has something for everyone young and old.  Even if you live in the state of Kentucky, it is worth the drive up to Dayton to spend a great Autumn day at Adventure Acres.
