About Us
Located in Bellbrook, OH, Adventure Acres is a massive corn maze located in the quiet countryside. Owned and operated by Ed Martinek and his wonderful family, they work year round to make autumn a fun a interesting time for visitors of all ages. While many people only think about corn mazes in the fall, it takes year-round work to get this wonderful location ready.
Planting begins in the spring time, so the corn is the appropriate height for the coming fall season. Most stalks grow as tall as 10 ft. Planning and implementation also take time over the sping and summer months. Many people do not realize all the work that goes into creating an interesting and innovative series of corn mazes. Planning, cutting, and cultivating the maze can take months, preparing it for your fall fun adventure. Each year brings a new maze design, meaning you need to come see our unique mazes every year.
This Year's Theme
Every year, we strive to create an interesting theme throughout our corn maze, both in activities and the design of the maze. The theme for 2011 is "A Look Into Our History," celebrating the 160th anniversary of our famous family barn. The barn, which serves as the starting point for your autumn adventure, was originally erected in 1851. Following a lengthy restoration project, it was named 2009 Barn of the Year in the state of Ohio. This year's maze design serves to celebrate the 160th anniversary of this now famous structure. PBS is even going to film it for a feature in one of their programs.
Along with the celebration of our history, we offer 3 fun farm games to complete during your trek through our miles of trails. Farm Tracks, FSI: Farm Scene Investigators, and our Check Points Reward Game gives you a new interactive feature to enjoy.
